As an extension of the collaboration with LIFEwithBIRD collection, we were individually required to create our own personal outfit, taking inspiration from the EXIT 32 collection.
My outfit displays the love I have for contemporary sophistication, clean lines, and layering.
What inspired me most when designing this outfit was the pintucks, asymmetrical design lines, scarves and colours within our group collection.
The shirt is where I had the most fun in terms of interesting construction elements. I used the scarves aspect to change up the usual collar you would see used to on a traditional shirt. The sleeves from the front are set-in sleeves, however when viewed from behind, they appear to be raglan. You can see the pintucks inspiration come through on the shirt sleeve cuffs as secured tucks, which creates interesting knife pleats that smile on the wearers wrist.
The silk camisole is bias cut with an asymmetrical tuck on the right side creating visual interest.
The skirt is fully lined and mimics the silhouette of the cami, however rather than a tuck it is simply layered, yet still creates the same asymmetrical look.
